1. Welcome — make your first game
Welcome to JLG Games Academy! Let's make Pong using AI. You don't need any programming experience. Follow each step, and pause whenever you need more time.
YOUR TURN: You need a Windows or Mac computer, an internet connection for Codex, a ChatGPT account and a keyboard. The finished Pong game runs in a web browser. This guide focuses on Windows; Mac uses Finder instead of File Explorer. A phone alone is not the workflow taught here.

2. Download the desktop app
Open the download link below. Choose Windows or Mac, then follow the instructions to install the desktop app. If it's already installed, open it.

3. Sign in to the app
Open the app and sign in with your ChatGPT account. Complete the sign-in in your browser, then return to the app.
YOUR TURN: Sign in, complete the browser sign-in flow and return to the desktop app. Check that the intended account is shown in the app.

4. Select Codex
Select Codex in the app. Keep the default model available to your account. We're going to ask it to create our game files.

5. Create your first project folder
Create an empty folder in Documents called My First Pong. In Codex, choose the option to open a folder, then select My First Pong.
YOUR TURN: Create an empty folder called My First Pong, then open that folder in Codex. On Windows, use File Explorer. On a Mac, use Finder.

6. Your ready-to-build check
Check that My First Pong is open in Codex. Start a new chat in that project. You're ready to build. Continue to lesson two.
