## Phase validation

1. Foundation: 4 gravity, collision, jumping and controller-mapping tests passed.
2. Character: 6 cumulative checks passed, including all requested state mappings and atlas integrity.
3. Flight: 11 cumulative checks passed, including heat, fuel, crash protection and fixed-step consistency.
4. Belongings: 14 cumulative checks passed, including collection, restoration and bounded teeth movement.
5. Garden: 18 cumulative checks passed. A simulated route uses only movement and thrust to recover all four required belongings and reach the gate with all three hearts, in normal and assisted modes. No teleports or physics bypasses are used.

## First-slice limits and next improvements

- Main movement uses 70 transparent video frames with the original smoke and flame. The original 24-pose atlas still supplies reactions missing from the footage. New crash, combat and victory footage would complete the animation replacement.
- Controller bindings are tested programmatically. A physical Xbox controller still needs hands-on testing.
- Fixed-step tests compare 30, 60 and 144 Hz schedules. Sustained 60 FPS is a target, not a claim about every device.
- Settings are saved locally. Full progress, upgrades, achievements and level selection belong to Phase 21.
- The slice has layered jetpack and pickup effects and subtitle dialogue. Full audio production and replaceable recorded voice banks remain Phases 18 and 19.
- Touch control customisation, combat, enemies and later levels remain unimplemented.
- Next: Phase 6, comedy interactions, after feedback on the garden controls.
